What is MaxTag?

MaxTag is an infrared device that works as a secure e-payment solution for tolls and parking.

Produced by the same manufacturer of SmartTAG, MaxTag is 100% compatible with all SmartTAG lanes. This latest model of MaxTag comes with a new generation microprocessor for more reliable performance, as well as and an enhanced LCD display that allows you to check the balance on your Touch ‘n Go card.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between MaxTag and SmartTAG?
Both the MaxTag and SmartTAG are produced by the same manufacturer, Basset Sdn. Bhd. Both can be used on SmartTAG lanes. MaxTag uses the latest generation of microprocessor allowing you to breeze through the toll stations.

How should the MaxTag be placed?
The MaxTag will work as long as the black shiny surface faces the receiver at the top of the SmartTAG lane. However, the best position for a quicker detection would be at an angle of 45° degrees. We recommend to use the bracket holder that comes with the MaxTag or the dashboard holder.
